Entry Requirments
Leaving Certificate or equivalent examination, although consideration will be given at interview to any well motivated student. We are looking for enthusiasts. Mature students are particularly welcome.
Certification
This course is certified by the Further Education and Training Awards Council (FETAC). Successful students will be awarded the Level 5 Certificate in Electronic Technology. This is recognised by the Institutes of Technology in Electronic Engineering courses for alternative entry qualification.

Work Experience
A period of work placement in Electronics, Computers, Telecommunications or related industries is an essential module of this course. Reports on performance and progress are received from firms involved in the scheme.
Field Trips
Occasional field trips are made to major firms or engineering projects deemed to be of special interest to participants or this course.
Third Level Links
This Course is widely recognised by DIT and other Institutes of Technology in engineering and electronics courses for alternative entry qualification. Our students have been particularly successful at third level.
AIM OF COURSE
The aim or this course is substantially to enhance the capabilities of the participants for entry into the field of Electronics, Computers, Telecommunications and other modern industries through third level courses. The course is certified by the Further Education and Training Awards Council (FETAC) and has wide recognition from the Institute of Technology sector for special entry.
