Engineering Course Dublin

The aim of this course is to help entry into a career in engineering through recognised apprenticeships or through third level courses elsewhere. The course has been quite successful for participants over the years frequently leading to immediate employment in the engineering industry.

Course Content

The course is designed to give students a good understanding and appreciation of the Sciences and provide for the acquisition of relevant laboratory skills. The course also provides students with the opportunity to develop relevant life and work related skills.

Certification

QQI

The Course is certified by the Further Education and Training Awards Council (QQI) (Certificate in Engineering Technology), Level 5. NFQ Level 5 award made by QQI (5M2061 Engineering Technology).

Duration

One year, full time.

Entry Requirements

Leaving Certificate equivalent exam, although consideration will be given at interview to any well motivated student. We are looking for enthusiasts. Mature students are particularly welcome.

Third Level Links

This is recognised by DIT and other Institutes of Technology in Engineering Courses for alternative entry qualification. We have a close link with the Institute of Technology, Tallaght. Our students have been particularly successful at third level.
