Student Support

St. Kevin's College strives to develop a safe, inclusive and supportive environment. Our further education student support services include;

Maintenance Grants

Maintenance Grants may be available to students attending full time approved courses in St Kevin's College. A Means Test applies and the level of the grant varies according to the distance from the student's home to the college. Students apply for the PLC Maintenance grant online at www.susi.ie. Our student support officer will be happy to assist you with any difficulties you have in completing the Application Form.

Common Room/Lunch Room

A bright, airy common room is available for the use of all Post Leaving Certificate students.

Career Guidance

The college offers a comprehensive career guidance and operates a work placement programme. Students will be assisted with their applications to Further Education in Ireland and abroad through CAO and UCAS.

Fees & Charges

All PLC courses are supported by the European Social Fund. Candidates who are Non-EU Citizens should contact the college office for details of entry conditions. The cost for the following items; books, some equipment, clothing, student services, Students Union examination fees and Registration charges by professional bodies will continue to be borne by the students.

Crèche

A childcare facility is available on the College campus for students. Places are limited.

Special Needs Supports

St. Kevin's College is committed to ensuring that its courses, examination and assessments meet as far as possible the individual needs of students with special needs. Procedures put in place will enable candidates to perform to the best of their ability and ensure that all candidates are assessed on an equal basis.

Student Representative Council

A Students Representative Council (SRC) is elected by the students at the beginning of each academic year. This council meets on a regular basis during the academic year to discuss matters of interest to the students. A member of the council is nominated to represent the students on the Board of Management of St. Kevin's College.
