Outdoor Recreation

Students must be 18 years of age or over, having completed Leaving Certificate or LCA. Practical experience is not required but would be an advantage. The ability to swim and reasonably good health are essential. Final selection of course participants will be by interview. Early application is recommended.

Whilst pursuing your academic awards to FETAC Advanced Level 6 and BTEC Higher National Diploma level, you will also have the opportunity to showcase and publish your work in our major media and photography exhibitions and our annual print productions.

This very practical course offers training in the communication skills needed to get on with people both socially and in the professional workplace. It is a preparation for those who wish to work in the community helping others, such as people with special needs, elder care, early childhood care and education.
