Entry Requirments
Leaving Certificate with at least a grade C in Ordinary level Mathematics and one Science subject at Leaving Certificate or equivalent exam, although consideration will be given at interview to any well motivated student.
We are looking for enthusiasts. Mature students are particularly welcome.

Course Content
The course is designed to give a good foundation in all of the Sciences as well as Maths, with a good practical laboratory base, as well as a modern European language and Communication skills.
Certification
The Course is certified by the Further Education and Training Awards Council (FETAC) (Certificate in Applied Science Laboratory Technology), Level 5.
Work Experience
In the laboratories of industries e.g. adhesives, electronics, fine chemicals, food processing, pharmaceuticals, as well as some public institutions. Work experience gives students a clear idea of what they can expect in a career in a modern laboratory.
Third Level Links
Long established links with DIT Kevin Street and other Institutes of Technology and with colleges abroad. All students currently enter third level courses in science. The requirements for entry differ from college to college. Other link opportunities are also available.
