Media & Photography
The media permeates every aspect of our lives. We are constantly changing and adapting to the ever evolving media industry. Our Media and Photography programmes in St. Kevin’s College are designed to equip students with specialist training and education through the most advanced technologies to meet the demands of this evolution.
Personal and interpersonal skills are developed and students are trained to work both independently and as part of a team. However, whilst vocational training is our priority, we also place huge emphasis on the fact that the acquisition of these skills provide but the tools for creative expression. Whatever the medium used, moving or still image, written word or work of art, the underlying idea and the imaginative treatment of that idea is what is most important. Whether you aspire to be a photographer, writer, director, editor or producer the courses will provide you with an excellent balance of technical expertise and critical awareness in a fun and exciting environment.
Whilst pursuing your academic awards to FETAC Advanced Level 6 and BTEC Higher National Diploma level, you will also have the opportunity to showcase and publish your work in our major media and photography exhibitions and our annual print productions.
