The School

Second Level Education in Dublin Since 1952

About The School

St. Kevin’s College is a co-educational, multi-denominational school under the patronage of the City of Dublin Education and Training Board (CDETB), formerly CDVEC.

The College opened our doors to the students of Dublin 8 and Dublin 12 for the first time in 1952 and teaches both second level and further education. At second level all students study for the Junior Certificate and JCSP and Leaving Certificate/LCA programmes. We also offer BTEI, VTOS and a range of further education programmes leading to third level qualifications.

St. Kevin's College endeavours to develop a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment which will enable each member of the community to realise his/her potential. We are committed to excellence in teaching and learning in all subject areas.

"High achievement always takes place in the framework of high expectation."

Charles F. Kettering

Teachers are encouraged to use a wide variety of teaching methodologies in order to achieve this. Each student is given the opportunity to maximise their full potential. We provide a wide variety of subjects to ensure the maximum opportunities for students to achieve success.

Our JCSP demonstration library provides a wide variety of resources and activities that support study and independent learning. We provide a wide variety of extra-curricular activities that support teaching and learning. We actively encourage all students to engage fully in the classroom and to support each other in their learning.
